Getting a Saju Reading as a Book

There are two kinds of saju books: beginner guides that teach concepts like the Five Elements, Ten Gods, and ten-year periods, and personalized reading books that interpret your birth chart chapter by chapter. If you want to read your own story, choose a personalized reading book. Seowoon's Lifetime Record is a 15-chapter reading book you read online.

1. Two Types of “Saju Books”

A beginner guide has the same content for everyone. A personalized reading book is different for each person — under the same chapter titles, the text draws on that person's eight birth-chart characters and ten-year periods.

2. Concepts Covered in Beginner Guides

The basics include the ten heavenly stems and twelve earthly branches; their Five Elements (Wood·Fire·Earth·Metal·Water); the Ten Gods, which describe how other chart characters relate to your Day Master in five groups (Peer·Output·Wealth·Officer·Resource); and ten-year and annual cycles.

Seowoon's Saju Dictionary explains each of these concepts in its own entry.

3. Personalized Reading Formats and What to Check
