Academy Benefactor(學堂貴人)

Hakdang means a study hall or school. Learning is said to begin at the Birth stage, where energy first comes to life, so this position has long been associated with a strong connection to study.

How to find it: For a Gap Day Master, the Learning Star is Hae (亥); Eul, O (午); Byeong·Mu, In (寅); Jeong·Gi, Yu (酉); Gyeong, Sa (巳); Sin, Ja (子); Im, Sin (申); Gye, Myo (卯). These match the Birth positions in Seowoon’s 12 life stage calculations, so any pillar labeled “Birth” in your free 12 life stages reading marks the Learning Star.

Seowoon's free reading does not yet display this nobleman star separately — its symbolic star (sal, 煞) reading shows the twelve stars plus Goegang·Baekho·Gwimun·Hyeonchim·Hongyeom. To check for this star, compare your chart's Day Master and branches using the rules above.

Traditionally, it suggests enjoying learning, grasping ideas quickly, and being open to exploring new fields.

It is said to show up as steady progress in education and qualifications, with lifelong learning opening up new career paths.

Traditional readings caution against studying without putting knowledge into practice or becoming overly focused on degrees and credentials.

It is considered a good fit for education, research, academic work, licensed professions, and roles involving learning and teaching, such as lecturing or coaching.

In relationships, it suggests wanting a partnership where you learn and grow together.

An old interpretation advises staying active and avoiding too much time sitting, since this energy is associated with study.

Health readings based on symbolic stars are traditional interpretations, not diagnoses. Have any symptoms evaluated through medical care.

Some say, “Having the Learning Star means you’ll get into a prestigious university”, but it suggests a capacity for learning, not a guaranteed level of education. Educational prospects are read through Resource·Output energy together with fortune cycles.
